• Measure the gearshift fork to groove clearance with a thick-
ness gauge.
• If the clearance checked is noted to exceed the limit, replace
the fork or dog.

Service Limit: 0.50 mm (0.020 in)

• Measure the gearshift fork thickness with a vernier calipers.

Standard: 4.80 – 4.90 mm (0.189 – 0.193 in)
" 09900-20101: Vernier calipers (150 mm)
• Measure the gearshift fork groove width with a vernier cali-
pers.

Standard: 5.00 – 5.10 mm (0.197 – 0.201 in)
" 09900-20101: Vernier calipers (150 mm)
CONROD INSPECTION
• For conrod inspection other than the following, refer to page
6-23.
• Measure the conrod deflection with the special tools.
