INSTALLATION
Install the kick starter in the reverse order of removal. Pay atten-
tion to the following points:
• Install the kick starter guide
1.
# Kick starter guide bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft)
• Install the kick starter drive gear
2, washers and snap ring

to the kick starter shaft.
" 09900-06107: Snap ring pliers
• Install the return spring
4 into the kick starter shaft hole.
• Install the guide
5 to the kick starter shaft.
NOTE:
Align the concave
A of guide with kick starter shaft hole
B.
• Install the kick starter
6 onto the kick starter shaft.
NOTE:
When installing the kick starter
6, align the wide spline teeth

and
D.
CAUTION
Replace the snap ring
3 with a new one.
