17-10 FRONT FORK AND STEERING
DAMPER ROD ASSEMBLY
• Inspect the damper rod assembly for scratches or bending. If
it has scratches or is bent, replace it with a new one.
FORK SPRING
• Measure the free length of front fork spring.
• If it is shorter than service limit, replace it with a new one.
$ Service Limit: 487 mm (19.17 in)
SLIDE BUSHING AND GUIDE BUSHING
• Inspect the teflon coating metals (slide bushing and guide
bushing) for wear or damage. If they are worn or damaged,
replace them with new ones.
• Inspect the teflon coating metals surface. If they are not clean,
clean them with a nylon brush and fork oil.
