5. Adjust the screw-in amount of the cable joint so that the
hole of the cable joint

is aligned with the throttle arm
and shift arm

Screw in a minimum of 10 mm (0.39 in)

the cable joint.
•
The cable joint is shipped together with the
outboard motor in the packing box.
•
When adjusting the cable joint, adjust it with the
cable fully pushed in.
6. Tighten the nut

and install the cable joint on the pin
before securing it with a washer and R pin

.
7. Operate the control lever and check if it moves from the
Forward (F) to the Neutral (N) and to the Reverse (R)
positions.
