PATHPilOT iNTERFACE
To get accurate machining informaon, all tooling must be described with detail: the more detail,
the beer the results. Using a personal descripon likely won’t contain meaningful informaon for
PathPilot.
Example: "Gold colored end mill from middle drawer"
This descripon provides virtually no informaon. PathPilot defaults to basic cuer features about
this tool:
• Two utes
• Uncoated, high-speed steel end mill
• Length of cut based on the diameter
Manually Entering Tool Descripons
You can manually enter tool descripons in the Tool Table window. Descripons are not case
sensive.
If a paern or word in the descripon is recognized, PathPilot uses syntax highlighng to indicate a
valid descripon (see Figure 6.21).
