Sauer-Danfoss(Sundstrand)15SeriesServiceManualattheendofthis
chapter.
Note:Forevery0.254mm(0.010inch)ofshimthickness,thereisan
approximate340kPa(50psi)changeinimplementreliefpressure.
Ifaddingshimstothereliefvalvedoesnotincreasepressure,inspectthe
conditionofthechargepumpgerotorandinternalhousing;refertoCharge
PumpServiceintheSauer-Danfoss(Sundstrand)15SeriesServiceManual
attheendofthischapter.
Ifthechargepumpisingoodcondition(noscoring,scratches,orexcessive
wear),thegeneralconditionofthetransmission’spistonpumpandpiston
motormightbesuspectedofwearandinefciency.Alackofminimum
implementreliefpressurecouldbeduetothechargepumphavingtodirect
allowtothemaintractioncircuit(pistonpumpandpistonmotor).
5.Disconnectpressuregaugefromthetransmission.Installpipeplugbackin
thetransmission.Checkhydraulic-uidlevelinreservoir(frontaxle).
