8.Disconnecttheswitchconnectorfromthemachinewireharness.
9.Connectamultimeter(ohmssetting)acrosstheswitchconnectorterminals
tocheckthecontinuityoftheswitchasfollows:
A.Whentheswitchplungerisextended,thereshouldnotbecontinuity
betweentheswitchterminals.
B.Whentheswitchplungerispressed,thereshouldbecontinuitybetween
theswitchterminals.
10.Replacetheswitchiftestingdeterminesthattheswitchisdamaged.
11.Iftheparkingbrakeswitchtestingiscorrectandacircuitproblemstillexists,
checkthemainwireharness;refertotheElectricalSchematicsandWire
HarnessDrawings/DiagramsinAppendixA(pageA–1).
12.Afteryoucompletetheparkingbrakeswitchtesting,connecttheswitch
connectortothemachinewireharness.
13.Installthesteeringtowercoverandparkingbrakeknob.
