6.1 Overview of Wind Sensor or Weather
Transmitter Installation
To provide the best conditions for accurate sensor readings, mount the wind sensor or
weather transmitter on top of the mast. When selecting the mounting position and routing
the sensor cable, take into account the other equipment installed on the mast (for instance,
air terminals).
This manual only describes mounting on a Vaisala mast. For further instructions on how to
install a wind sensor, see the manual for the appropriate sensor.
