Zone The zone number to which the sensor has been enrolled.
Zone Type The type of zone (e.g. Alarm, Entry/Exit).
Area Areas to which the zone is assigned.
LED When enabled, the LED will come on when the magnetic contact is activated.
Internal Contact When enabled, the internal contact will contribute to activations.
External Contact When enabled, the external contact, connected via the sensor’s terminal block, will
contribute to activations.
17.9.2.3 WPAN personal alarm button
The WPAN personal alarm button is a device that is used to transmit Panic Alarm messages to the
SPC system.
The user can wear the WPAN in one or two ways:
l WPAN can be worn as a wrist watch (by inserting the wrist band into the two slits of the
appropriate ring holder).
l WPAN can be worn as a pendant by removing the wrist ring holder and replacing it with the
pendant ring holder.
Enrol a WPAN personal alarm button
To enrol the WPAN:
1. In the SPC browser, select Users > Wireless FOB.
2. On the WPAN, press and hold the centre button.
The LEDs on the fob light in the following pattern: Red lights for 3 seconds, then no LED, then
Red lights for 1 second, and then Green lights for 1 second.
3. Click Refresh on the Wireless FOB page to display the WPAN.
4. You can now assign the WPAN device to a system user.
To assign the WPAN to a user:
1. Go to Users > Users and click the Edit button beside the user you want to assign the WPAN to.
2. On the Edit user settings page, click the Unknown Fob button.
A list of unassigned fobs is displayed.
