Damaging of the spindle when using the wrong
or wrongly applied grease
If you use grease that is unsuitable for the spindle or if grease
gets into the longitudinal slots of the collet chuck, the spindle
can get damaged.
h Make sure that no grease gets into the longitudinal slots
of the collet chuck.
h Only use a very small, about pinhead-size amount of the
grease.
h Only use the provided collet grease of the service set.
M9. Put a small amount of the collet grease on the index
ngerandsmearitwiththethumb.
M10. Applythesmeared colletgreaseto theanks of the
collet chuck.

M11. Insert the measuring pin into the collet chuck with one
hand and keep holding it. Screw the collet chuck with
the knurled nut in your other hand tightly into the spin-
dle.

In any case, turn the knurled nut up to the stop so that
the collet chuck is properly seated in the spindle. Oth-
erwise rotational imperfections can occur during oper-
ation which will worsens your processing results.

Remove the measuring pin from the collet chuck and
store it together with the other components of the
spindle service set.
M13. Close the working chamber door.
6.6 Checking the hoses, cables and connections
M1. Disconnect the machine from the electrical source and
the compressed air supply.
M2. Check the hoses and cables that are installed to the
machine.
M3. In case of damages prevent the machine from being
restarted. Replace the damaged cables and hoses im
-
mediately with original replacement cables. Contact
cus
tomer ser
vice.
M4. Check all connections at the connection panel for loose
connections.
M5. Re-insert loose cables and hoses tightly into the corre
-
sponding connections. In case of damaged connections
prev
ent the machine from being restarted immediate-
ly. Contact customer service.
