– Remove vacuum lines at intake manifold as follows:
1 - For activated charcoal filter, press release buttons
3 - For brake servo
Note
-Item 2- and -arrow- can be disregarded.
– Unscrew securing bolt -arrow- from intake manifold.
– Undo bolts -1 and 2- and remove heat shield.
– Remove Lambda probes ⇒ page 267 .
– Undo nuts at connection between catalytic converters and ex‐
haust manifolds -arrows-.
Note
If only the catalytic converter for the exhaust bank 2 needs to be
removed, the nuts and securing bolts of the catalytic converter for
the exhaust bank 1 do not need to be unscrewed.
– Undo bolts for catalytic converter of exhaust bank 1 -arrow-.
