Changing axle oil
1. Position the machine so that the wheel check plugs 5 face downward.
Environment
Use a suitable container to collect the gearbox oil as it drains and dispose
of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
2. Position suitable containers with sufficient volume underneath the
drain plugs – see "Fluids and lubricants" on page 1-15.
3. Unscrew drain plugs 2, 4 and 5.
4. Unscrew check plugs 1 and 3.
5. Completely drain the gearbox oil.
6. Screw in the drain plugs.
7. Position the machine in the same way as for checking the axle oil level.
8. Add gearbox oil.
➥ Gearbox oil type – see "Fluids and lubricants" on page 1-15.
➥ The gearbox oil must be up to the bottom edge of the filler opening.
9. Screw in check plugs.
