Overview
Function description
The gear pump P37 pumps 19.0 cm
3
of hydraulic oil per revolution from
the hydraulic oil reservoir into the priority valve flanged to the steering
orbitrol S1.
Checking the gear pump
Preparing work
Tools:
Test pressure gage 0 – 600 bar
T fitting
Plugs (different sizes) for closing the oil lines
Environment
Use a suitable container to collect the hydraulic oil as it drains off and
dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner!
Checking the primary pressure
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system see “Releasing
residual pressure in the hydraulic system” on page E-32.
2. Disassemble the cover panel of the foot well see “Removing/
installing the footwell cover panel” on page 1-18.
3. Install T-fitting with test adapter into hydraulic line 1 between gear
pump and pressure filter.
4. Connect test pressure gage 0 ... 600 bar to test adapter.
5. Operate the loader unit against a hydraulic resistance with the “Raise”
function.
6. Read the primary pressure at the test pressure gauge (target value:
215 bar (HDM19/3) or 240 bar (HDM19/4)).
