Introduction E
Safety instructions
Connections and open holes which are exposed when removing a
component must be closed completely to prevent dirt from entering!
Load Lifting
When repairing or replacing heavy components and assemblies, use
lifting gear to lift and secure them.
Use only suitable lifting gear and suspension systems in a technically
perfect state with appropriate load-bearing capacity!
Stay clear of suspended loads and instruct others to do so.
Have loads fastened and crane operators guided by experienced
persons only. The person guiding the operator must be within sight or
sound of him.
Installing components
If it is necessary to remove safety devices prior to set-up, maintenance
or repair work:
- Refit the safety devices immediately after completing work
- Check the safety devices
- Ensure the safety devices are working correctly.
Affix Bowden cables and safety cables at the ends in such a way that
the eyelets remain rotatable in order to prevent bending and subse-
quent breaking of the cables.
Always retighten any threaded fittings that have been loosened during
maintenance and repair – especially those on oil or fuel lines – before
putting the machine back into operation.
Check all lines and threaded fittings for tightness and secure seating
after maintenance and repair work.
After repair/maintenance
If a part of the machine was repainted and safety labels were damaged
or have become illegible:
- Replace the safety label before putting the machine into operation!
If safety label was attached to a removed component or assembly:
- Attach the same safety label to the new component/assembly!
New safety labels are available from the manufacturer.
Paint all bare machine components with a lacquer coating to avoid
corrosion.
Refit all protective structures, covers, and insulations against noise
and vibration after completing repair work!
Check the function of the machine, particularly of the repaired compo-
nents, during trial operation! Ensure that no one is in the danger zone
of the loader.
Do not release the machine for operation before everything functions
properly!
