Checking the liquid level of the tires
The design of valve 1 on liquid-filled tires differs from the design of air
valves.
1. Park the machine with tire valve 2 facing upward.
2. Release a bit of air to remove the residual water in the valve.
3. Check the tire pressure – see "Inflating the tires" on page 1-67.
4. Check the tire for leaks, i.e. loss of liquid or air.
5. If there is a leakage in the tire, have it emptied and repaired or
replaced by qualified personnel.
Ballasting wheels with liquid
The liquid level may amount to a maximum of 75% of the tire volume!
At temperatures below 0°C mix water with a non-aggressive, glycol-based
antifreeze. Observe the instructions on the packaging of the antifreeze!
1. Park the machine with tire valve 1 facing upward.
2. For tubeless tires: lower air pressure to 0.2 to 0.5 bar.
3. Fill tube or tubeless tire with liquid up to the height of tire valve 1.
4. Adapt the air pressure – see "Inflating the tires" on page 1-67.
5. Check the tire pressure regularly (monthly)
– see "Checking the liquid level of the tires" on page 1-69.
