Repairing a blocking distributor of the central lubrication system
All repair work must be performed ensuring the greatest possible
cleanliness.
1. Remove the distributor from the system.
• Make a note of the order of the distributor discs.
2. Unscrew the screw plugs of the piston bores and move the pistons to
and fro (do not push out).
3. Screw the screw plugs back in again.
4. Check the next distributor disk until the blocked piston is found.
5. Push out the piston of the blocked distributor disk and check the bore
of the distributor disk and the surface of the piston for scratches and
damage.
6. Replace the distributor disk in case of heavy damage.
The pistons cannot be exchanged among themselves!
► If the piston and the bores of the distributor disk have deposits of
hardened grease, remove them by washing or blowing them out.
► There must be no traces of grease in the bores of the distributor disk.
► Check with a thin wire.
After checking all distributor discs:
1. Install the distributor checks in the correct order.
2. Tighten the connecting rods to 12 Nm when you mount them to avoid
jamming the pistons.
3. Check the distributor for correct function using oil or grease.
4. Install the distributor in the system.
5. Run the system and check the operating pressure.
