Variable displacement pump
Checking low pressure (supply pressure)
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system – see “Releasing
residual pressure in the hydraulic system” on page E-32.
2. Remove the operator seat – see “Removing/installing the operator
seat” on page 1-18.
3. Connect the test pressure gauge (0–60 bar) to the measurement
connection G.
4. Start the engine.
5. Read the supply pressure off the test pressure gage (specified value:
28 bar).
6. Stop the engine.
➥ If the supply pressure does not reach the specified value, the variable
displacement pump is probably malfunctioning.
➥ Check and replace the variable displacement pump if necessary (see
repair instructions of the pump manufacturer).
Checking the high pressure of the variable displacement pump
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system – see “Releasing
residual pressure in the hydraulic system” on page E-32.
2. Remove the operator seat – see “Removing/installing the operator
seat” on page 1-18.
3. Connect test pressure gauge (0–600 bar) to the measurement
connections M

and M
B
.
4. Carefully drive the loader in front of an obstacle with the quickhitch.
5. Select the fast forward travel range.
6. Drive the loader against the obstacle and slowly increase the engine
speed to maximum.
7. Read the high pressure value M
A
off the test pressure gage.
8. Firmly fasten the quickhitch in a suitable place so it will not move (for
example a tractor) to block the traveling drive.
9. Release the parking brake.
10. Select the fast reverse travel range.
11. Slowly increase the engine speed to maximum.
12. Read the high pressure value M
B
off the test pressure gage.
13.Replace the variable displacement pump if the specified values are not
reached – see “Pressures” on page 4-4.
