7.2 Removing/installing the steering wheel
Preparing work
Auxiliary tool:
• Commercially available three-leg extractor
• Self-manufactured claws – see “Claws and extractors” on page E-36
Disassemble
1. Pull off cap 1.
2. Unscrew nut 2.
3. Take out washer 3.
4. Insert two half shells 7 from below and hold them in place.
5. Position three-legged extractor 4 on the steering wheel.
6. Carefully pull off steering wheel 5 from the steering column 6.
