4.7.1.3 Buffered Supply Voltage via external UPS
NOTICE: UPS buffered supply voltage is possible only if a device is supplied via the
terminal (-X11) at the same time.
If an external UPS is connected the internal control and the customer installation area
are supplied both with buffered voltage.
NOTICE: If the supply voltage will be buffered via an external UPS these connections
must be secured by a surge arrester.
Procedure:
1. Open doors in Section +C1.
2. Open corresponding cable ducts.
3. Connect PE conductor, N conductor and L conductor from UPS output to
terminal (-X1.21), (-X1.24) and (-X1.15) (Figure 97).
4. Connect PE conductor, N conductor and L conductor from UPS input to
terminal (-X1.1), (-X1.4) and (-X1.5).
5. Route PE conductor, N conductor and L conductor from terminal strip (-X11) to
the customer installation area and connect them.
6. Close cable ducts.
