8.2.8.3 Testing of the Cooling Fluid
Figure 112: Tank cover of water-air heat exchanger
Pos.
Description
1
Tank cover
NOTICE: The cooling fluid is a mixture with 50 % glycol / 50 % distilled water.
Required material (not included in scope of delivery):
pH-value test strips
Freeze protection test device
0.5 litres inhibitor adequate for an APS with 4 APUs
Maintenance Tasks:
1. Open the tank cover of the water-air heat exchanger.
2. Fill approximately 100 ml of the cooling fluid into a container.
3. Measure the pH-value (e.g. with pH-value test strips).
If the pH-value is lower than 7.5 or higher than 8.5 we recommend the
complete renewal of the cooling fluid (Section 8.3.1) or filling with an
inhibitor.
4. Measure the frost protection with a freeze protection test device.
If the value is under 40 °C proceed as shown in Table 28.
5. Close the tank cover.
