4.5.2 Sealing against Water and Dust
NOTICE: Use a self-sealing strip to protect the product against water and dirt. The cover
sealing must be attached after the MV transformer is mounted.
Required material (part of accessory MV skid):
• Approximately 2 metres self-sealing strip (Würth: DIBA-(VKP-PLUS)-35/18-
SCHWARZ-4M)
Procedure:
1. Clean the surface to be attached (Figure 77, Pos. 3).
2. Remove the masking paper and cut the beginning of the ribbon about
20 millimetres.
3. Cut the lengths (Figure 77, Pos. A and B), immediately attach the sealing strip.
NOTICE: The sealing strip has the property to extend rapidly and extremely.
4. Lay the strips quickly.
5. Wait until the sealing strip has fully expanded and check for leakage.
