NOTE:
2. Inspect:
Oil passage (rotor bolt)
Clogged Blow out with compressed air.
3. Inspect:
Stator coil
Damage Replace.
4. Check:
Starter clutch assembly operation
Clutch operation checking steps:
D Install the starter wheel gear to the starter
clutch, and hold the starter clutch.
When turning the starter wheel gear clock-
wise
a
, the starter clutch and the starter
wheel gear should be engaged.
If not, the starter clutch is faulty. Replace it.
When turning the starter wheel gear counter-
clockwise
b
, the starter wheel gear should
turn freely.
If not, the starter clutch is faulty. Replace it.
AC MAGNETO INSTALLATION
1. Install:
Washer

Starter wheel gear
2
Woodruff key
3
Rotor
4
Clean the tapered portion of the crankshaft
and the rotor hub.
When installing the magneto rotor, make
sure the woodruff key is properly seated in
the key way of the crankshaft.
