IDLING SPEED ADJUSTMENT
Prior to adjusting the idling speed, the carbure-
tor synchronization should be adjusted proper-
ly, the air filter should be clean and the engine
should have adequate compression.
1. Start the engine and let it warm up for sev-
eral minutes.
2. Attach:
S Engine tachometer
(to the #1 spark plug lead)
Engine tachometer:
90890-03113
3. Check:
S Engine idling speed
Out of specification Adjust.
Engine idling speed:
1,150 1,250 r/min
4. Adjust:
S Engine idling speed
Adjustment steps:
D Turn the throttle stop screw
1
in or out until
the specified idling speed is obtained.
Turning in: idling speed is increased.
Turning out: idling speed is decreased.
