NOTE:
SWINGARM INSPECTION
1. Check:
S Swingarm free play
Inspection steps:
D Check the tightening torque of the swingarm
pivot shaft securing nuts.
Securing nut (swingarm pivot
shaft):
Left:
100 Nm (10 mSkg)
Right:
7 Nm (0.7 mSkg)
Right - nut:
100 Nm (10 mSkg)
D Check the swingarm side play
A
by moving
the swingarm from side to side.
If side play is noticeable, check the inner col-
lar, bearing, washer and thrust cover.
Side play (at swingarm end):
Zero mm
D Check the swingarm vertical movement
B
by moving it up and down.
If vertical movement is not smooth or if there
is binding, check the inner collar, bearing,
washer and thrust cover.
2. Inspect:
S Swingarm
Cracks/bends/damage  Replace.
3. Inspect:
S Pivot shafts
Damage/wear  Replace.
Wash the swingarm pivoting parts in a solvent.
