FINAL GEAR OIL REPLACEMENT
1. Place a container under the final gear case.
2. Remove:
 Oil filler bolt

 Drain plug

Drain the final gear case of its oil.
3. Install:
 Drain plug
Check the drain plug gasket. If it is damaged, re-
place it.
4. Fill:
 Final gear case
Oil quantity:
0.19 L
Refer to “FINAL GEAR OIL LEVEL IN-
SPECTION”.
5. Install:
 Oil filler bolt

STEERING HEAD INSPECTION
Securely support the motorcycle so that
there is no danger of it falling over.
1. Stand the motorcycle on a level surface.
Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand.
2. Elevate the front wheel by placing a suit-
able stand under the engine.
3. Check:
 Steering assembly bearings
Grasp the bottom of the lower front fork
tubes and gently rock the fork assembly.
Looseness  Adjust the steering head.
