DIGITAL I/O OPTION
The Digital Input/Output option provides up to 48 output channels, or up to 32 output channels and 16
input channels. Since the system can support two Digital I/O PCB’s, the maximum capability is 96
output channels, or 64 output channels and 32 input channels.
The digital output channels provide component high and low alarm warnings, independent of any
other alarms in the analyzer. No alarms or other indications occur when component concentrations
are within their specified ranges, but if a component goes outside the specified range it changes the
state of the appropriate digital contact. The Digital outputs are contact closures (rated at 30 vdc and
50 ma maximum), available to connect to audio or visual alarms to alert the operator or technician.
The digital input channels can be read in Vista BASIC, permitting external digital information, such as
alarms, to be used in the analyzer.
The Digital Table screen controls the concentration alarm digital outputs. This screen lists each
available channel, the associated stream, the component being measured, and the low and high
