D.3 Configuring RAID 1
The procedure below describes how to configure RAID 1 on the Mediant 1000B SBA.
Note: As this is an uptime solution (i.e., it allows you to plan the installation and keep the
SBA running using the secondary HDD), if there is a hard disk failure, a complete re-
install of the SBA is required.
How to configure RAID 1:
1. Connect to the SBA using Remote Desktop Connection (Start > Accessories >
Remote Desktop Connection).

2. Open Computer Management (Start Menu > right-click Computer > Manage or
‘compmgmt.msc’).
