endportstoallowredundantpathstoeachFCfabric,directlyconnectedFCserver,and

Prerequisites
Thecontrollermusthaveanavailablefront‐endportforeachFCfabric,Ethernetswitch
(iSCSInetwork),andstandaloneFCserverthatyouwanttodirectlyconnect.
Steps
1 ConnecttheFCfabrics.
a ConnectacontrollerFCporttoeachFCfabric.
b ConnectoneormoreFCserverstoeachFCfabric.
c ConfigureFCzoningtomeetthezoningrequirements.
IfyouareplanningtoconfigureFCinlegacymode,configurezoningtomeetthe
legacymodezoningrequirements.
IfyouareplanningtoconfigureFCinvirtualportmode,configurezoningto
meetthevirtualportmodezoningrequirements.
2 ConnecttheiSCSInetworks.
a ConnectacontrolleriSCSIporttoeachiSCSInetwork.
b ConnectoneormoreiSCSIserverstoeachiSCSInetwork.
3 Duringthesoftwaresetupprocess,configurefault
domainsbasedontheconnectivity
mode:
Legacymode:Createonefaultdomainforeachtransporttype(FCandiSCSI).
Virtualportmode:CreateonefaultdomainforeachfabricordirectlyconnectedFC
server.
Note: The cablinginstructionsanddiagramsinthissectionarevalidforaparticular
IOcardconfiguration.If thecontrollersyouareinstallingcontaindifferentIOcards,
adjustthecablingaccordingly.
Note: iSCSIserversmustbeconnectedtoEthernetswitches. AniSCSIservercannot
bedirectlyconnectedtoafront‐endiSCSIportonthecontroller.
