see the bend’s loss at each wavelength, do the test again with
Macrobend Detection turned off.
THRESHOLD: If the difference between the loss
measurements for the wavelengths is more than the
threshold, the tester identifies the event as a bend. The
default is 0.50 dB.
MARGIN: The THRESHOLD value minus the delta value ().
Note
Macrobend detection is available only for
singlemode fibers.
About Measurements that Show “<“ and “>”
In some situations, measurements show with a "<" or ">" (less
than or greater than) symbol. This occurs if the fiber is too long,
the signal is weak, events are very close together, or a
measurement is beyond the range of the tester.
