8.3 BIOS Reflash Instructions - M Motherboard
If there are BIOS problems which indicate that the BIOS may be corrupted the BIOS
needs to be reflashed.
1. Clear CMOS: This is accomplished by turning off the machine and changing the
jumper for BIOS (JP7) from the 1-2 setting (default) to the 2-3 setting. Reboot the
machine. When the machine is finished rebooting, shut it off again and reset the
jumper to the default setting (1-2).
2. Power on again and press F1 to go into the BIOS.
3. When the password screen appears strike [ENTER] for the User Name and type
[MAXPOWER} for the supervisor or administrator name.
4. When the BIOS screen appears, press F10 (Save and Exit). When asked if you want to
save the BIOS - press [ENTER].
When reflashing a newer version of BIOS, the passwords will be reset to the above
default settings. If a user name or supervisor or administrator password are used they
will need to be reset.
