Adjusting the Sensor Level
The scan level (threshold value between the media background color and registration mark) of the sensor
scanning the registration mark can be automatically adjusted.
The sensor is adjusted to scan the printed registration marks as black lines on a white background. This
readjusts the scan level of the sensor depending on the color of the registration lines and finish (gloss/matte) of
the media.
If it is hard to adjust the level automatically due to media surface characteristics, change the Setting Speed of
the Registration Mark Scan
P.5-26
or set the scan level of the sensor manually.
