´ Boring depth inaccurate (VF-6)
Insufficient counterbalance pressure due to:
l corrupted hose
l bad regulator
l bad check valve
l air cylinder bad
l bound cylinder
l surge tank leak
1.4 FINISH
´ Machining yields a poor finish.
l Check for gearbox vibration. This is the most common cause of a poor finish.
l Check for backlash ("Accuracy/Backlash" section)
l Check the condition of the tooling and the spindle.
l Check for spindle failure.
l Check the condition of the servo motors.
l Check the machine level.
