l Delete optical port configuration before switching the data rate.
Backward Compatibility
Hillstone 100GE(QSFP28) optical port and 10GE(SFP+) optical port provide backward com-
patibility. When the data rate is backward switched, the optical port should be inserted into the
corresponding transceiver module.
l 100GE(QSFP28) Optical Port: The default data rate is 100Gbps, and can be backward
switched to 40Gbps. In the optical port configuration mode, use the channel-speed 40000
command. When the data rate is backward switched, the optical port should be inserted into
the 40GE(QSFP+) transceiver module and corresponding fibers.
l 10GE(SFP+) Optical Port: The default data rate is 10Gbps, and can be backward switched to
1Gbps. In the optical port configuration mode, use the command channel-speed 1000 to
manually switch the data rate.
To restore the default data rate, use the no channel-speed command in the optical port con-
figuration mode.
Notes: Delete optical port configuration before switching the data rate.
Copper SFP Compatibility
If an optical port supports a copper SFP module, it provides copper SFP compatibility. The
model of Hillstone copper SFP is TRAN-GC. Only the 10GE(SFP+) optical port and the 1GE
(SFP) optical port support copper SFP.
l 10GE(SFP+) Optical Port: The 10GE(SFP+) optical port supports the copper SFP module.
In the optical port configuration mode, use the command channel-speed 1000 to manually
