Replacing a DC Power Module
To replace a DC power module, take the following steps:
l Switch off the power source and remove the DC power cable from the power source.
l Wear an electrostatic discharge (ESD) strap around your bare wrist and connect the strap to an
ESD point on the chassis. See ESD Prevention.
l Loose the screws of the DC power cable using a cross screwdriver and remove the cable.
l Pull the power module straight out of the chassis by pressing the lever and hold the handle.
l Put the removed power module into an antistatic bag or on a flat antistatic table.
l Install replacement power module (see Installing a Power Module and Connecting a DC
Power Cable).
Notes: If you do not want to install a new module, apply a blank plate over the slot
to avoid dust falling into the chassis.
Replacing an Expansion Module
All expansion modules of SG-6000-X series are hot-swappable.
Replacing an Expansion Module of SG-6000-X10800
Replacing an SCM/SWM
The following takes SCM as an example to introduce how to install an SCM or SWM. To replace
an SCM, take the following steps:
1. Wear an electrostatic discharge (ESD) strap around your bare wrist and connect the strap to
an ESD point on the chassis. See ESD Prevention.
