Chapter 6 Troubleshooting
Introduction
This chapter provides solutions to some common problems of the Hillstone SG-6000 X-Series
device.
Losing the Administrator Password
If you lose the administrator password, please contact your local sales representative or you can
reset the system to restore its factory password.
System resetting restores its factory default settings and all your configurations will be lost.
Troubleshooting Expansion Modules
When an expansion module malfunctions, take the following steps to troubleshoot:
l Make sure the module is in the correct slot and properly installed.
l When the device is powered on, check the module LEDs and identify its problem according
to the Expansion Module LED Descriptions table.
l Make sure the StoneOS version you are using is compatible with the module.
l Make sure you have installed a license that supports the module.
l Use the command show module to view the status of all modules on the command line inter-
face. If the system returns no slot information after this command is entered, the module
must have an error.
If you have performed all the above troubleshooting steps but still cannot identify its problem,
please contact your local sales representative.
Tip: For the expansion module LED information, see Expansion Modules.
