l Ensure that the ventilation of the cabinet itself is sufficient enough to dissipate the thermal
output of the device.
l Ensure that the hot exhaust air will not be recirculated into the chassis.
l Route and dress all cables to minimize the blockage of airflow to and from the chassis.
Rack Requirements
The SG-6000X-Series device (except desktop models) can be installed in a 19-inch rack (four-
post).
Rack Size and Strength
The rack rails must be spaced widely enough to accommodate the chassis's external dimensions:
440.0 mm high, 515.0 mm deep and 88.4 mm wide. Ensure the rack is strong enough to hold the
weight of the fully configured device.
The rack rails must be spaced widely enough to accommodate the chassis external dimensions:
442.0mm wide, 735.0mm (doesn't include the depth of handles on the front panel and levers on
the back panel) deep and 797.0mm high. The rack should be strong enough to support the weight
of a fully configured device which is approximately 194.0kg.
Rack Clearance Requirement
When planning the installation site, allow sufficient clearance around the rack for ventilation and
maintenance.
l For better heat dissipation, the air flow around the chassis should not be blocked. Allow cer-
tain clearance between devices and between the side of the chassis and any non-heat-pro-
ducing surface such as a wall.
l For personnel to operate the device (such as moving or installing hardware components),
there must be adequate space around the chassis.At least 1.1m is required in front of the
chassis and 76.0 cm behind the back.
