Installing Expansion Modules of SG-6000-X9180
The device requires at least one SCM, one SSM, one IOM and one SWM. Additional expansion
modules are added according to your needs.

Tools Required
The following tools are required to install an expansion module:
l Cross screwdriver
l ESD wrist strap
Installing an SCM/SWM
SG-6000-X9180 supports up to two SCMs and two SWMs. SCM is located in the slot SCM0 and
SCM1 of the back panel, and SWM is located in the slot SWM0 and SWM1 of the back panel.
The following takes SWM as an example to introduce how to install an SCM or SWM. To install
an SWM, take the following steps:
1. Wear an electrostatic discharge (ESD) strap around your bare wrist and connect the strap to
an ESD point on the chassis. See ESD Prevention.
2. Take SWM out from its antistatic bag.
3. Identify the slot of SWM.
