How to Resolve the Problem
1 Remove the incorrectly set device driver.
Right-click on the file name “? 3197” under “Other devices” and select “Uninstall”
f
rom the menu.
2 Reset the dedicated device driver.
Follow the procedures in "7.4 Connecting the Instrument and Computer with the
Supplied USB Cable"(p. 134) in the instruction manual.
Using the Windows Wizard, make sure that the options below are selected.
“Install from a list or spe-
cific location”
“Search for the best driver in these loca-
tions”
“Include this location in the search:”
C:\Program Files\HIOKI\3197\drivers
(The driver is located in the same folder as
the application.)
