Role Specifies the role that regulates the access of the user to the individual
functions of the device.
Possible values:
unauthorized
The user is blocked, and the device rejects the user log in.
Assign this value to temporarily lock the user account. If an error
occurs when another role is being assigned, the device assigns this
role to the user account.
guest
(default setting)
The user is authorized to monitor the device.
auditor
The user is authorized to monitor the device and to save the log file in
the
Diagnostics > Report > Audit Trail
dialog.
operator
The user is authorized to monitor the device and to change the
settings—with the exception of security settings for device access.
administrator
The user is authorized to monitor the device and to change the
settings.
User locked Unlocks the user account.
Possible values:
marked
The user account is locked. The user has no access to the
management functions of the device.
The device automatically locks a user if the user makes too many
unsuccessful log in attempts.
unmarked
(grayed out) (default setting)
The user account is unlocked. The user has access to the
management functions of the device.
Policy Check Activates/deactivates the password check.
Possible values:
marked
The password check is activated.
When you set up or change the password, the device checks the
password according to the policy specified in the "Password Policy"
frame.
unmarked
(default setting)
The password check is deactivated.
