22.4.4 Configuration of Relay Outputs for safety-related switching operations
The System State relays and any other relays configured for safety purposes should be wired to a continuously monitored
system for safe operation. This is to ensure that all system faults are detected promptly and appropriate action taken
Each ROM output must be configured as Normally Energized, Alarm Update Enable not selected, and Latch Function
selected, as shown in the following example:

22.4.5 Compliance with EN 45544-2 (Toxic Gases)
The lower limit of measurement of Touchpoint Pro is 0.08 % of the transmitter’s full scale deflection. Therefore the zero
suppression positive parameter must not be set higher than 0.08 % of the transmitter’s full scale deflection to avoid
suppression of valid measured values.
To maintain compliance with EN 45544 the calibration interval must not exceed 6 months.
Touchpoint Pro is suitable for use with transmitters where the output at the limit value is between 4.96mA as 12.0 mA.
Please refer to EN4544-1 Annex A for further information.
22.4.6 Compliance with EN 50104 (Oxygen)
TPPR is approved for measurement of oxygen deficiency, enrichment and inertisation.
22.4.7 Important Notes on Certification
TPPR is a fully customizable installation, so all of the possible variations cannot be certified in one guide. Instead every
system will have its personalized parameters inscribed on rating labels attached to each major component (i.e. the
Controller, Remote and Battery Enclosures).
For Certification and Information purposes, a tabular overview of the individual components is given in the Specifications
chapter.
Note 1: The TPPR system contains a number of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) items that have been independently
certified by their manufacturers whose certified parameters have been incorporated into the Specification tables.
Note 2: OEMs are responsible for ensuring that their systems are certified in accordance with these tables and any 3
rd
–party
requirements.
Note 3: Power Supply Fluctuations shall not exceed DC 18 – 32 V SELV Supply or ±10 % of nominal.
Note 4: All equipment in this manual is rated to a maximum altitude of +2000 m (6562 ft.) AGL.
Note 5: Care must be taken that the equipment is not subjected to vibration that exceeds the levels stated in
EN 60079-29-1, EN 45544 and EN 50104.
