9.4.5 Group Remote Interaction Settings
Access Level: Engineer
If any of the remote interaction options are enabled above, select Add / View Group Member to choose the channels to
associate with the Reset, Inhibit or Acknowledge action.
Configuration is simplified if the required channels are all commissioned before configuring the Remote Interaction options.
Channels can be assigned to more than one interaction group.
A DIM channel assigned to carry out a remote interaction is not available to take part in any other interaction group.
Note: The Remote Group Settings screen may be displayed when Remote Interaction is not selected, and should then be
ignored.
9.4.6 Use with Catalytic Sensors
Since a remote user cannot see information on the touch screen, Remote Interaction should be used with caution. In
particular, Remote Reset should not be used with catalytic sensors.
WARNING
Remote reset should not be used for catalytic sensors, since gas could still be present even though the sensor
reading has dropped. Conditions at the field device should always be investigated before resetting an alarm.
