14
Identify the red wire to the key with the round red insulated terminal, or remove the key support G.
15
Insert the positive probe H (red) inside the fast-on cover I connected to the key contact.
16
Start the machine by turning the key to position "1".
17
Press the button L to lower the brushes.
18
With the buttons M on the control panel, set the quantity of water to zero (no LED on).
19
Press the accelerator pedal lightly and briefly. The brushes will start turning, but you will not hear the click of
solenoid valve actuation and water is not delivered.
Pay attention to the alarms you may see in this configuration. The head without brushes
triggers the "Brushes Worn" alarm and the parking brake on triggers the "Parking Brake" on
alarm. Ignore these errors and proceed with the check. If “AutoPowerOFF” is not set to OFF,
keep pressing the accelerator pedal briefly and lightly to make sure the control panel continues
supplying voltage to both the water pump and solenoid valve. Water delivery will cease only
when the detergent tank is empty or if the float switch (detergent) detects that there is no
detergent in the tank and communicates this to the control panel circuit board.
20
The digital multimeter will not read any significant voltage.
21
Perform the test with the LEDs on to verify correct voltage at the output D3 of the connector D.
In order to limit the quantity of water delivered, in the first three positions (from one
LED on to three LEDs on), the control panel electronic control unit commands
opening of the solenoid valve intermittently and it is therefore normal for the voltage
reading on the digital multimeter to also be intermittent.
During intermittent operation of the solenoid valve, the opening times are on
average: Position 1 (one LED lit) open
for one second (1s) and closed for one second
(1s); Position 2 (two LEDs lit) open for two seconds (2s) and closed for one second
(1s); Position 3 (three LEDs lit) open for three seconds (3s) and closed for one
second (1s).
