A3 DISASSEMBLING THE BRUSH HEAD - BRUSH MOTORS -
CARBON BRUSHES
The CT 230 mounts two different sizes of disk head, a small head with a cleaning strip of 850
mm in the BT 85 version and a larger head with a cleaning strip of 1050 mm in the BT 105
version. Apart from the size, they also differ in the type of brush motor. The smaller 850 mm
head is fitted with 400 W brush motors with free cooling, while the 1050 mm head is fitted with
a 500 W motor with forced cooling. To prevent rust, they are treated with galvanisation and
electrophoresis.
