Remove the head from the machine as described in paragraph A3.1.

If the metal bands A allowing inspection and replacement of the carbon brushes have not already been
removed, remove by pulling the plastic spring clips B outwards.

Identify the crosshead screw I and unscrew it to disconnect power to the carbon brush L

With a hook (as for the previous motor) lift spring M and extract the carbon brush.

Measure the carbon brush L to check the wear. The minimum acceptable length is 11 mm, otherwise it must
be replaced.

When replacing, compare the new carbon brush with the one being replaced and/or the measurements
below. Only the length may differ.
Reassembly

Make sure the carbon brushes slide freely in their housing.

Check the state of wear of the rotor N and the contact surface of the carbon brushes L.

Check that all electric wires and all screws I are tight.
4
To mount the new carbon brushes, perform the disassembly operations in reverse.

To mount the head, perform the disassembly operations in reverse, see paragraph A3.1.
