Measure the carbon brush C to verify wear. The minimum acceptable length is 11.5 mm.

When replacing, compare the new carbon brush with the one being replaced and/or the measurements
below. Only the length may differ.
All four carbon brushes must be replaced at the same time and if the operating hours of the two
brush motors mounted on the head are the same, all eight carbon brushes must be replaced together.

Make sure the carbon brushes slide freely in their housing.

Clean the inside of the motor by blowing with a jet of compressed air, concentrating on the area around the
carbon brushes and the rotor where the carbon brushes slide.

Check the state of wear of the rotors G (one per motor), particularly where they slide against the carbon
brushes.

Check that all the connecting wires H are tightly fastened to their contacts and the nuts are tight.
