C5.1 Replacing and/or regulating the steering sensor
Disassembly
1 Move the machine onto a flat dry area of floor.
2 Brake the machine by pressing the pedal to put the parking brake on.
3 Place the ignition key in the “0” position and disconnect the batteries from the main machine wiring.
4 Remove the bumpers, footplate and front panel.
5 Remove the protective plate and tank support A.
6 Electrically disconnect the sensor by means of the connector B.
7 Identify the steering sensor C and unscrew the top nut until the sensor is loose, then unscrew the bottom nut
to extract the sensor from the top.
8 Replace the sensor with a new one.
Reassembly
1 To mount the new steering sensor,
perform the disassembly operations in
reverse.
2 Before tightening the two nuts, check the
distance of the sensor from the cam.
Adjustment
1 Adjust the steering sensor to a distance
of 4 - 6 mm from the actuating cam.
