C5.1 Replacing and/or regulating the steering sensor
Disassembly
1
Move the machine onto a flat dry area of floor.

Brake the machine by pressing the pedal to put the parking brake on.

Place the ignition key in the “0” position and disconnect the batteries from the main machine wiring.

Remove the bumpers, footplate and front panel.
5
Remove the protective plate and tank support A.
6
Electrically disconnect the sensor by means of the connector B.
7
Identify the steering sensor C and unscrew the top nut until the sensor is loose, then unscrew the bottom nut
to extract the sensor from the top.
8
Replace the sensor with a new one.
Reassembly
1
To mount the new steering sensor,
perform the disassembly operations in
reverse.
2
Before tightening the two nuts, check the
distance of the sensor from the cam.
Adjustment
1
Adjust the steering sensor to a distance
of 4 - 6 mm from the actuating cam.
