You are recommended to check functioning of the dirty water tank full LED on the
control panel regularly. Tripping of the float switch is communicated to the control
panel board which, after a delay of about five seconds (5”), indicates that the dirty
water tank is full by displaying a message on the control panel display ("Dirty Water
Level") and by a flashing LED in the dedicated icon.
18
Disconnect the digital multimeter and connect the float switch connector to the connector on the main wiring.
19
If removed, put the elastic back on the float switch C.
20
Switch the machine on by turning the ignition key to position "1".
21
After the circuit board check, wait about five seconds (5”). The dirty water tank full message (“Dirty Water
Level”) should be displayed and the LED in the dedicated icon on the control panel should flash.
22
If the suction motor is on, when the dirty water tank full light comes on, the suction motor light goes off and
after about twenty seconds (20”), the suction motor shuts down.
23
If the message is not displayed, check:
23a
That there is the same voltage as available on the battery poles (with the elastic band in place) between the
white-green wire on the male connector on the main wiring side of the float switch and the positive pole of the
battery.
23b
That there is continuity between the brown wire of the male connector on the main wiring side of the float
switch and pin 8 of the connector CN5 on the control panel board.
23c
If the message is displayed only and the LED does not light up, try replacing the latter or replace the control
panel board.
It is very important to check correct operation and wiring of the float switch and
correct functioning of the messages on the control panel display. If for any reason
the dirty water tank full message is not communicated to the control panel board, the
board does not command shutdown of the suction motor which continues to
operate, with the risk of taking in water and jeopardising the reliability and working
life of the impeller bearings.
