Chapter 4. Initial ValProbe RT Software Setup
4.1. Introduction
Before utilizing the ValProbe RT software to run Qualification studies, it is necessary to initially
sign in using the Default Kaye ValProbe RT account and then create a System Administrator
account. The Kaye Default System Administrator account is automatically deleted when the
Password Maintenance utility is exited. From then on, use your own administrator account to
perform Admin tasks.
When a new System Administrator account is setup, the Administrator can select the
Administrator tile to define system preferences, policies, User management, and as needed,
perform Hardware Maintenance, such as Base Station and Logger firmware upgrades.
In this Chapter:
• Start the program and log in to the ValProbe RT software using the default System
Administrator account.
• Select security and Log-in authentication mode; Local security and Users or Active
Directory
™* (LDAP).
• Set System Policies
• Create System Administrator account (local / Active Directory
™*)
• Utilize User Management to create other User accounts. (local / Active Directory
™*)
• Set Preferences
• Utilize Hardware Maintenance to upgrade Logger and Base Station firmware for future
upgrades.
