How to Perform Measurement
Resistance Measurement
To specify the low terminal status, perform the following procedure. Setting is not
saved. Turning off the instrument sets the status to CCOM. This procedure can be
performed only if the voltage source output is Off.
1. Press the System Menu > Config > Source > Connection function keys. This
opens the Output Connection dialog box.
2. Set the Low Terminal State on this dialog box. It must be FLOATING for making
the floating condition, or CCOM for connecting to the circuit common.
3. Press OK.
For the floating status, the Floating indicator appears on the
status information area.
Although the Low terminal is set to FLOATING, the High potential and the Low
potential must be less than or equal to 1050 V for chassis ground. The output
voltage is limited to 1050 V even if the Voltage Source makes the cascade
connection with an external voltage source.
Do not apply current to the chassis ground. Doing so will damage the
instrument.
DC Voltage Output Range
Voltage Source has three output ranges, 20 V range, 1000 V range, and 1000 V
range, for applying DC voltage.
To set the output range, press the 20 V, +1000 V, or -1000 V assist key available
when the Spot Source Range field is in the EDIT status. This field is in the range
setup sub-panel on the Meter view.
To display the sub-panel, you may need to press the More... 1 of 3 assist key and
the Hide Hist., Hide Roll, or Hide Trigger assist key.
Staircase Sweep Output Setup
Voltage Source supports the following staircase sweep output.
• Linear single sweep
Voltage Source applies staircase sweep voltage from start to stop in a step.
This sweep is available when VS Function is set to LINEAR SINGLE.
• Linear double sweep
