How to Perform Measurement
Resistance Measurement
Voltage Source applies staircase sweep voltage from start to stop in a step and
from stop to start in the same step. This sweep is available when VS Function is
set to LINEAR DOUBLE.
Sweep output is set by the following parameters. They are shown in the source
function sub-panel on the Meter view. To display the sub-panel, press the Show
VS Func. assist key. To see the assist key, you may need to press the More... 1 of
3 assist key and/or the More... 2 of 3 assist key.
VS Function LINEAR SINGLE or LINEAR DOUBLE
Start Sweep start voltage, in V
Stop Sweep stop voltage, in V
Points Number of sweep steps between Start and Stop
Step Sweep step voltage, in V
For Point and Step, specify one. Other one is automatically calculated by the
formula, Point = |StopStart|/|Step|1.
To set the parameter value, use the assist key and/or the rotary knob.
To confirm the sweep output shape, press the Show Preview assist key.
Additionally the following setup parameters are available. They are shown in the
Sweep dialog box opened by pressing the System Menu > Config > Source >
Sweep function keys.
Sweep Ranging Ranging mode FIXED or BEST (automatically uses the
minimum range which covers the whole sweep output)
Sweep Direction Direction UP (Start to Stop) or DOWN (Stop to Start)
Output after Sweep Output voltage after sweep, START VALUE or END VALUE
To set the parameter value, use the assist key and/or the rotary knob, and press
OK to apply the settings and close the dialog box.
List Sweep Output Setup
Voltage Source can apply the voltage specified by the list you define.
To set the list sweep output, display the source function sub-panel on the Meter
view by pressing the Show VS Func. assist key. To see the assist key, you may
need to press the More... 1 of 3 assist key and/or the More... 2 of 3 assist key.
And set LIST to the VS Function field. The sub-panel shows the following
information.
